The Episcopal College Fellowship @ MSU

The Episcopal College Fellowship is a campus ministry at Murray State University of the Episcopal and ELCA Lutheran Churches. We are sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky, but you don’t have to be Episcopalian to be a part of the group. We believe that God loves you, no exceptions.

Some images may include our former Rector as we are in the search process for a new rector.

Due to COIVD-19 and social distancing, all services and meetings will be virtual for the semester. We will adjust this, if need be as the situation changes.

Facebook Live Streamed Sunday Services of St. John’s are available here.

Evening Prayer:

Evening prayer can be joined via Facebook Live Streams Tuesday-Friday here.

Wednesdays @ 5:30pm during the semester:

We will have a virtual meeting via Zoom. These meetings will include our weekly community check in, general time to catch up with one another, and a study. This semester we will be doing a group reading and discussion of the book Reading the Bible from the Margins by Miguel A. De La Torre, during our study time. You can find a brief description of the book below.

This introduction focuses on how issues involving race, class, and gender influence our understanding of the Bible.Describing how “standard” readings of the Bible are not always acceptable to people or groups on the “margins,” this book offers valuable new insights into biblical texts today.

Our campus ministry is a part of the Safe Zone Project.  As a Safe Zone participant, we can help you connect with resources on campus to address problems you may face that interfere with your academic and social success on campus as it relates to issues surrounding sexual orientation and gender identity.
